✧ We find ourselves in the lower floor of a small ruin. Our local area is known as Houselit Cairn, a grass-covered rocky surrounded on most sides by the Mistwalk, itself by the mountains and passage outward. It is unlikely that we will leave this region this oneshot, so for now, I will end the naming with the ruin itself: Flickerstone.

✧ Our party doesn’t know much about this place beyond its name. Shortly after reaching the Cairn from the north edge, coming from Handspun Winds of Repose’s home, they encountered a staked note from one Argeum, Orator of Rainfall, who stated they had lost a small satchel of items to a prank of a blob of cats, and would appreciate any help should a passerby find it and bring it to their home in the closer town of Wider North Rock (they were going to be away a week or so and had no time to ask for help or dig for it themself).

” is “Wider North Rock” indicative of the rest of the town names here on the Cairn?

✧ Roughly, yeah. Their towns follow the motif of a cairn itself, so you’ll find most named after rocks and locations, or sometimes moss and creeping plants. The ruins usually have a similar root, but it depends on their specifics.

⏻ i hope there’s just a town named for cats.

✧ There is probably not a town named for cats. Maybe out in the mist.

⏻ darn. guess i’ll have to come up with reasons to head out there!

” we’re going to get lost in the mist for 12 sessions, aren’t we?

⏻ yyes.

✧ Please don’t do that, I’m going to run out of mist themes by the 7th. Or probably sooner.

⏻” lmao

✧ Anyway. No damage or anything from the fall, so our first roll will be from Spark-run-gnarlwood.

⏻ you can call her gnarl. or Spark.

For the sake of the first time I’m saying her name here, Spark-run-gnarlwood is our Delve leader here.

⏻ so petty. alright, she is looking first for… well, the vibe of the floor, right? seeing what sort of creatures are around, if the cats are still here or if they’ve melted into the mist.

/r2d6+EYE

⏻ right smack in the middle of a success. well, a Key sounds as good as it gets here; I can’t imagine anything of value happening this early makes sense.

✧ Agreed. You may take and describe your first Key.

⏻ yay!

⏻ Spark leads the trio within the worn, dark pillars of stone underneath the toplayer, venturing out into the darkness. She can see a bit further thanks to Wish Upon an Echo of a Star’s directed light, and a darker part of the wall indicates that the stairwell for this old place seems to be on the far end in, luckily, the direction you’ve checked out. From this style of ruin, you could imagine there’s another on the other end, but equal chances that there isn’t.

” oh i totally could have assisted with that roll, right? because of the light?

✧ …yes? I believe so. Unless I’ve completely misunderstood the system, it’s one move per round, and that’d be yours.

” cool. i’ll keep that in mind for next one. In the meantime, can i see if anything catches my own eye while we make our way toward these stairs?

✧ Sure. More detail-oriented than pathfinding.

/r2d6+EYE

(3 5) + 1 = 9

” contractually, i shouldn’t comment on dice luck until 10 rolls in.

✧ Any attempt to pin it down will only make it worse or make it hide, we know this.

” (sigh, groan, acceptance, fiddling with the deck)

✧ With its own light in the darkness and its familiarity with technology, Echo can see that the walls give the impression that they’re constantly shaking. They react either to sound, a radio signal, or something else within the ruin, and vaguely shake and shimmer in rhythm.

” i… hm wait that’s the wrong embodiment. Echo reaches out to touch them, just lightly brushing them, to see if there’s any physicality to them.

✧ There’s no physical component that it can feel beyond the light buzzing of energy. Its fingers scrape onto the stone as they always would, seeming to dip into the surface slightly as it flickers over and under the digits.

...Flickering stones. Makes sense.

”Hm? You find something, caster?”

⏻ Gnarlwood spins on a heel, stopping her forward momentum from carrying her right down the stairs, but not approaching the wall herself.

(for our readers)

The friendly nickname of ‘caster’ crosses the mechanical nature of many Armatures with radio elements, and Wish’s own instrument on its back in that case: a CRTelecaster. The Imp enjoys its shows and music the most, and Echo found the experience of getting nicknamed rather endearing.

Found, no. Noticed, yes. Likely the namesake to this place. Makes mee wonder what it houses.

” maybe this place was once a facility, or maybe it’s been imbued with Song or technology over time. Hard to tell from just rock and stone, but it reminds Echo of the static of lost memory in a strange way. It’s not familiar with Shrines, but this certainly doesn’t feel like one.

”Is it… Well, it’s stone all the same, right?”

✧ Winds runs /eir own hand along the wall briefly, stopping to check the entire structure is still relatively sound with a light amount of pressure, and then takes /eir hand back, looking over at Wish. /ey do not find /emself very enamoured with technology, especially that they don’t understand, and /ey really would rather see what lies deeper instead of ponder a wall. The Shrine had offered enough of that for at least half a lifetime.

”How far down do you suppose this one goes?”

✧ Winds is the one least familiar with Ruins from this group, mostly from lack of adventuring prior to them all setting off, so /eir words are somewhere between worry and curiosity. /ey have some reasons to expect /ey’ll be seeking out ruins for their residents at some point, and this is a good warm-up.

⏻ assuming nothing goes wrong.

” even if something does go wrong!

✧ ‘what could possibly go wrong’, right?

⏻ cats.

” cave-ins.

✧ Okay. Moving on, since there’s nothing else to be done with the walls, the group proceeds into the stairwell?

⏻ ye. down we go!

✧ Alright. It’s a longer one than all of them expect, spiraling down as if it’s 2, maybe 3 stories down by the time it lets out. As they descend, you’d expect it to get even darker, but instead, by the time they approach the bottom, it looks light, as if there’s something glowing there, but at the same time, if any of them were to look at the walls again, it’s the same within the stairwell. This ambient light either snuck up on them while they were descending, or it’s always been there and the transition was hard to catch compared to Echo’s light.

” oh fantastic, at least we don’t need the light for everything down here. mildly concerning, though.

✧ Maybe!

⏻ gogogogo, we keep moving. no fear. Gnarlwood knows no fear, even when she probably should. it’s just cats, right?

✧ Heh. Of course. Alright, so first out is Spark, who gets to take in the view a couple seconds in advance thanks to being a full head shorter than Echo, and obviously farther down the stairs. The stairs let out onto a flat area of stone carved slightly differently from the floors and walls above, and a harsh drop parallel to your right, paralleling its opposite wall, serves as a cutoff into shadow of something of a staggered set of stairs or seats. The light mostly comes from the place you’re standing, and much less is visible off in the far area of the room or chamber. About all you can make out is their contours, and the far wall could go on for a long ways or end just past the last visible seat. The—

” Echo drops to its knees and plants its hands on the floor, silent for a moment before yelling at full volume:

IT'S A THEATRE!!

⏻ oh my fucking god

✧ …Yeah?

⏻ Gnarl is jumping at that.

✧ Winds as well, but give me a moment because that’s not everything that’s in here.

” yeah no keep going, i just needed to get that out.

Incredible opening. Okay. That does change the reactions, so… Spark, even if she turns back at the shout, she’d still see that there’s a section of the stage that seems strangely dark and also ripples in a different way around the darkness. Do we think she’s still looking after this, though?

⏻ …hm… probably not? i can only see her fully turning around to look at Wish, like:

“Come again?”

” should i still wait to respond, or

✧ You two are really gonna make me respond to my own situation, aren’t you? Keep talking, we’ll get into that in a second.

” bet. this is all coming out rather quickly, just let me know when to stop.

A theatre: A venue for holding plays and public shows, among other things. I've gathered information that many from the old world were not the most structurally resilient due to their changing nature prompting many issues in active use and then lacking their upkeep once long abandoned, meaning very few survive to become ruins, making them difficult to compare to the ones we see today—

”Wait so you can tell just from the shape of the building? That soon?”

⏻ Spark looks more than a bit confused. She’s seen a fair number of shows, but… there’s nothing IN here.

✧ That she’s seen.

⏻ That she’s seen. she will turn back to the rest of the theatre, here, though.

✧ Oh, perfect.

(arms wide, turning around) “There’s nothing in here, how are you sure it wasn’t…”

✧ And line. Spark-run-gnarlwood, Handspun Winds, and maybe also Echo if it’s following the motion, would finally notice something off across center-stage. A bundle of moving void, a flickering around it from the floor as if it’s liquid rippling, with a cluster of pairs of eyes staring at you in concert. There is only one type of Beast these could be. These are Cats.

⏻ Cats!

” cats in the theatre! do you think they have the Cats musical? holy shit that’s gotta be so wild in Wake, especially after the end of the old world. imagine their take on the Jellicle Ball.

⏻ do you. do you wanna run a Jellicle Oneshot some time.

fuck yes.

✧ Oh my god, you know what? I’m down. If we ever get back to this system we can do something entirely as a musical.

” i need to shove musicals into anything else we do. making a note of that.

✧ Girl you can’t have theatre and tarot and magic everywhere, please. Leave some motifs for the rest of us.

” i will motif as much as i godsdamn want and everyone else will just deal with it.

⏻ speak ur truth

✧ …Fine. I ‘look forward’ to the next one, then.

”Are those… Surely that’s the cats the note told us about?”

” musicals as our next hyperfixation, here we come!

Cats. Fascinating.

” Echo stands up, slips off its packs and slings out Panic! In Static! Out Manic!, its Named Instrument.

✧ I still can’t believe you went with that. Winds is going to hurriedly unlatch /eir umbrella, Shared Folly, and walk up next to… Spark? I think.

“’Fascinating’? Have you not ran into them yet?”

⏻ Sparks is just chilling.

No, no. Well, yes. But not the point. Song-reactive, like ii expect this building to be.

” i want to strum a quick performance with one of the backing tracks, but not as a Perform. just a regular MASK roll. Against? the cats, but kind of also the building.

✧ Okay? We’re really getting right into it. Let’s see the roll and we can play it out.

/r2d6+MASK, +INSTRUMENT

(3 2) + 0 + 1 = 6

” damn, not even enough with the Attuned? this is so sad.

✧ Also, pick either cats, or building. I forgot to correct that just now, you can only have one target.

” would ‘the room’ be acceptable?

✧ …You know? Sure. You have missed the room.

” aight, cool. You already know how this works, but for everyone else: Echo’s Instrument is a cartridge-ammo CRTelecaster, running backing beats while it plays chords on the rest of the instrument. i guess that makes it more of a noiseboard in a sense? but, right, point is, P!IS!OM!, or just Panic! for short (exclamation required), was used to try and get a positive reaction out of the room to test its hypothesis about the Flickerstone and also try and appease the Cats.

✧ Understood. Obviously, you do the opposite of appease the Cats, as they’re not that fond of Echo’s music trying to drag them away from whatever they’re on. The room does respond a little bit, which will reward its hunch, but I think both it and all of us can get the intuition that it won’t respond to something that isn’t a Song. And even then, it’s not really clear what it’d do, but for now, everyone sees it spike out like a radial waveform while Echo strums its piece, leaving a bit around them persistently flickering to its beat. And we can say that part is what sets the Cats on edge here, a small group of 4, as they slide off the pile of objects and start skittering around on the stage. They don’t approach yet.

”I…am not sure if they liked that. I’ve admittedly not spent much time around Cats myself…”

✧ Winds grips /eir own Instrument with both hands, coming in closer to the other two.

”Can’t we just pick one of em up?"

"You…should be able to. Yes.”

Slightly trickier while they are agitated, as ii recall. ii've probably made that harder, haven't ii?

”Oh, it’s no big deal.”

⏻ Sparks is gonna make a rush forward to tackle. wait no, actually. i want her to look at the pile instead, see what they’ve been on. it’s probably what we’re looking for, but can we see what it is?

✧ Depends on the roll.

/r2d6+EYE

(6 3) + 1 = 10

✧ .

⏻ let’s fucking go.

✧ Well, sure! Gnarlwood sees quite easily, as the Cats leave their perch, that there’s a pile of equipment scattered around on top of ripped and strewn canvas bits. Thanks to the ambient lighting, and her having gotten around a lot, she can also tell that these are some sort of radio equipment, though it’s a really unusual build. Their shells and dials are slightly scratched, and the stage floor around them, now that the Cats are off them, pulses a bit. Not at the same level as what Echo is doing to the place, but there’s definitely something going on here.

⏻ :3

”There’s our quarry, so like. We coouuulld just grab it and book it, but. I feel like the Cats are going to jump us for them anyway.”

What are they going to do. Scratch us?

✧ Winds sighs.

”They’ll be a royal nuisance if we don’t calm them down, and we don’t know if there’s anything else burrowed away down in this theatre, or whatever’s attached to it.”

Ah. ii suppose that's true.

”Yeah, you really don’t wanna get to be trailing a bunch of these things unless you know them, or are really good at handling beasts.”

⏻ Gnarl is just gonna kick back on her heels and look at the group while we say all this, by the by. Winds up next, aye?

✧ Yep. I guess… Well, let’s see. I can see this being EYE, but we’ve done a lot of that already, so probably HAND with the little scarf to see if we can’t pull the radio parts while the Cats are dispersed.

/r2d6+HAND

(1 2) - 1 = 2

⏻” LOL

✧ (head in hands) Okay so literally one off the minimum possible result, great, cool.

” don’t worry we can make this worse.

⏻ yeah cmon we can’t just fail it, it has to be dramatic enough for the 2

✧ …Yeah? What are you suggesting.

” As Winds steps forward, /eir scarf manages to successfully latch onto, let’s say one of the radio pieces, by its handle. But as it retracts, the nearest Cat—or two—also latch on and ride it back in /eir direction, bringing whichever attached with it.

✧ Oh my fucking

” roll me an, um… i guess EYE? for reflex? we’ll see how many Cats and if /ey get hit hard.

✧ Yeah sure this is what we’re doing now.

/r2d6+EYE

(2 4) + 1 = 7

✧ Yay. At least it’s not catastrophic.

⏻ so that’s just one, then?

” yeah. no. well. since it wasn’t a crit, pick either ‘1 Cat’ or ‘No damage’.

⏻ yay! get’em!

✧ Would this be Harm?

” nnnno? Not yet. as far as i can tell i think that’s just for repeated light hits or exhaustion? or like, if you failed here, we give you a mild concussion. i guess.

✧ I’m glad it didn’t come to that. Anyway, sure. Scarf goes out, claws come back with it. I’ll pull in the two Cats, but duck out of the way so they either overshoot or drop near me, and hold onto the one radio.

”Oh snap."

"Well don’t just stand there, help me with these blasted creatures!”

⏻ is there any more of a GM action?

✧ No, it’s just on failures or (presumably?) skipped actions. So that’s all the Cats are going to do, and there’s not any other beasts that have appeared.

” ok so louder music.

⏻ rock on.

✧ You two are determined to make this as hard for your characters as possible, huh?

⏻ I move in on the other two cats.

”Cover /em, I got the rest!”

⏻ Sparks has a wide grin on her face, and jumps forward while drawing her Named Instrument. It’s a mix between a bell, a hand cannon, and a pile bunker: you aim the thing at the air and let discharge, or for larger targets or the area, you just shove it at the ground before pulling the trigger.

✧ HAND? Also, the floor, or just in front of them?

⏻ yep, and the latter. floor looks reactive enough to her. oh, uh, Familiar Purpose?

✧ For…what, driving off beasts? No, you have it down for traversal, or getting around quickly and safely. That’d have to be another Move, if you can even take that one again.

⏻ oh, bet. i don’t think there’s a rule either way, but i’ll probably only choose it if there’s no better option. besides, she’s got this thingy, heh.

/r2d6+HAND

(4 5) + 1 = 10

⏻ insult to injury, is’a crit!

✧ Such is my fate today… How are we looking on divination?

” 7 out of 10. want me to call it early? Not in your favor…

✧ No thanks, hold for now. Okay, Spark fully succeeds, play it out for us.

⏻ hmm, so as she runs up on the other two, she’s gonna stance up next to the radios and with Rude Awakening in her left hand she’s kinda just discharging it halfway in their direction? not in a way where it looks menacing, well i mean how non-menacing can she even be right now, but still overall pointed at the room rather than the Cats?

✧ Okay, cool. Remember it’s got that Brace tag on it, so that might come up later in the round, but for now that’s all good. You definitely will notice, and by you I mean she, that the floor around you and the radios go deathly still as the bell rings out, and the two Cats fully stop right in their tracks. That probably lasts a turn or so while the ringing fades, so we’ll see what the Cats do then, but there are the rest for the taking!

⏻ sweet! alright, back over to yall.

” i’m wondering if it’s better to do any assist here or just raw roll twice.

✧ Do you actually think I’m going to roll well. I’m traumatized over here. Never recovering from a crit failure on my first action. Anyway, I have an idea for assisting Echo, probably best for it to act before Winds does.

” ‘kay, sick. Trying again. i think we said the Ammo tag here is once every…3 turns?

✧ Yeah, reloading after next turn.

/r2d6+MASK, +INSTRUMENT

(6 4) +1 = 11

” wahoo.

✧ Alright, hit us with your perform…ance? It’s not the Perform move, that needs another word. Your beats. Your vibes. Something.

” eh, we’ll workshop the wording. Echo spins up the caster into a light rhythm for a minute or so, playing one of the tunes that was found in the ‘relaxing’ section of the catalog at the library it used to call a home. Well. still does? Not that we’ll see it, might come up, who knows.

✧ Yeah, this oneshot is entirely within the Cairn. What sort of tune is it? Post-apocalypse lo-fi, punk rock remnants, something else?

” imagine, like… you take an orchestral piece, remix it a couple times across a couple cultures, strip away a few of the parts and leave just the bit for a guitar. not even this guitar, this isn’t the type of guitar you’d build a general-use tab for, this thing’s fucked up. but it can play it! and it comes out, over the tapes running the monitor, serving as its pedalboard, and it’s atmospheric. like most things in Echo’s repertoire, it does feel theatrical, but probably not in the same way we would think of today. it’s the vibe of playing to the building itself, rather than structuring a specific story, but i guess it could also feel slightly off in that same way.

✧ Mm, yeah. You wanna give it a name?

” fuuuck meeeee i don’t… we’re all terrible with names. i’m dealing for this.

Wormsong - Remix | Original Genre / Tone | Title , Movement

Curse | Cleric | Pilgrim , One of Eyes

” hmmmmmmm,.. Okay. This is either dubstep or rock influenced, the original was intended for religion or a deity and its title reflects that even though the- Oh! It’s psych rock! of course. Last Rites on the Dais; just an instrumental lead-in, and then it hits a harsh ending.

✧ You’re giving these Cats the concert of their lives, I think this is what’s going to cause the Cats Musical to happen.

” ( ╹◡╹)

✧ How do we work this… I mean, it’s a success, but good lord. Okay. First of all, the building definitely responds to your orchestral psych rock, and it looks about as you’d expect from the vibes of the build up. You said it was relaxing, the intent is to relax, it is decidedly not relaxing for a couple individuals here,

⏻ oh absolutely not, Sparks thinks you’ve either manifested a deity or are doing something super major offensive and is probably gonna duck and cover with the radios.

✧ but I will quantum collapse the Cats in the room here. They aren’t fully pacified, but they’re chill, and the mix of the bell and music means they’re not actively looking for a fight. Still probably a bit mad that you walked in on them.

⏻ it’s still really funny to me that Cats canonically react like a Looney Tunes character to Song effects.

✧ It’s great.

” hm, it’s too bad we don’t have any stuff to swap out with the radios…

✧ I mean, there’s the spare tailoring stuff.

” what you mean like yarn and fabric? hell, what if they like that? i’m mostly thinking about how we wrap up the Clashing without it needing to be an Escape and add a named antagonist.

✧ Worth a shot. I was thinking I’d Weave this turn anyway. This is for… ‘Mend what is torn?’

WEAVE : /r2d6+MASK

(4 4) + 1 = 9

✧ Nice, so that’s just shy of the upper success. I’ll go with ‘lose a resource’ and take some of /eir tailoring supplies; which one of you wants to make my life harder?

⏻ i think ‘the outcome is not what you hoped’ fits here, /ey’re pretty frantic from the sound of it.

✧ Fiiine, sure. Okay. Winds, with a free hand, tosses out a few spools of yarn and thread at the open area of the stage and wields /eir knitting needles like an Instrument. /ey take a breath to steady /emself, and then begin /eir craft by hooking into the air. /ey don’t say much of anything, though a bit of muttering can be heard as /ey look through the make of the fabric, and a mild breeze stirs in the room as the patchwork fabric and material begins assembling itself into a…

”Urk. Not what I was going for.”

✧ A carpet and small bed is stitched into the floor, and through one of the remaining radios, tying it to the stage in a way where it’s basically a plush-enhanced version, where the internals are probably one move from being ripped out if anyone tries to remove it.

⏻ is Sparks fine?

✧ We could have her lose her shoes, but that feels like a lot.

⏻ oh, well, what if i roll for reflex for grabbing the last radio and jumping back then?

✧ That’ll be EYE again. All three have gone, so we’re back at the top. Aria, wanna assist?

” why not?

✧ Take the +1! Actually, you have Brace. I won’t make this disadvantage if the Accompany goes through, since this isn’t a Clash. Roll for Bond first.

” aye.

/r2d6+BOND

(6 5) + 1 = 12

” holy shit???

✧ Damn you two loooove each other huh.

”⏻ 🫶

✧ Brace cancelled, give us the roll.

/r2d6+EYE, +ACCOMPANY

(6 1) + 1 + 1 = 8

⏻ pog. i’ll still drop a shoe for that.

✧ As the threads sprawl out, Gnarlwood manages to clutch the other radio from its impending plushie fate, and kicks off one of her shoes as she feels the tug of the Weaving.

”Hey! Watch where you’re weaving, would ya!"

"Sorry… I usually have some more time to work than that."

"Yeesh. Least we have two, doubt that Argaeum would be mad at us for it.”

” the riffs hit their close here, i think.

We're leaving? Shame. Wish ii could stick around and look longer.

“‘s always next time, right? ‘sides maybe they’ve got stories of this place in the town.”

This is true.

” it ejects the cartridge and starts packing up the bag again.

✧ The Cats, thankfully, don’t continue chasing down for a fight. The motif and general comfort factor of the ‘picnic spot’ get them back in the mood to tussle with each other, and while their calm forms meld back into an indescernable blob of void down in the dark here, with the stage now back to its default flickering soft light, the group can all tell they’re free to go without issue.

⏻ shall we just head out, then? i can’t think of a reason to dig deeper, and i can just spend the Key to get us back narratively since it’ll get lost anyhow.

” yeah. Echo is a bit sad we aren’t sticking around, but this wasn’t in the plans for the trip! and it’s better to get things sorted in town first. it’s happy enough that it got to play for the stage, even if there were only Cats, and is probably going to keep humming that tune until we get fully out of sight of the place.

✧ …

” what?

✧ How are they. Getting out of the hole? The scarf?

⏻ oh yeah, huh. we never looked for that. i mean, ceiling’s open.

” it is open.

⏻ i think we just tower up or scarf out.

✧ Do I make us roll for it… It’s not like there’s any time element, but… I guess just a flat roll for how it goes?

/r2d6

(1 2) = 3

⏻ . ” . ✧ .

⏻ ok so the roof comes down.

” yeah. ruin is re-ruined. free stairs!

✧ Can I stop playing in my own episode? Is it too late for that? I’m handing over the GM curse next time.

” this is the perfect time to end the episode, what are you on about. they’re about to have a jaunt out to uh, Wider North Rock?

✧ Yes.

” and we can just pick up there next time. don’t worry about it, 3 ruins are partially destroyed every 16 hours somewhere in Wake (fake statistic).

✧ You can’t just say ‘(fake statistic)‘. At least make that a footnote.

” nah it’s in the record now. whatcha gonna do, edit it out?

✧ I’m just gonna act like it didn’t happen. 12 rolls, and mine are the worst by far.

” it’ll be fine, you’ll catch an upswing soon. i hope.

✧ Alright, pack it up! See you back here next time for Wider North Rock. I’ve got some drafting to do.

POST-SESSION NOTES

✧ We actually missed remembering the Brace for a bit and had to edit that in a few interactions late, which is half the reason that isn’t using disadvantage - we’d already gone toward end of scene, and it was just gonna get awkward retconning things. I’m still kinda iffy on if it fits the situation or not in concept; it’s a reflex motion after using a Bracing instrument, but it’s also a succeeding ally effect? Idk. Things to keep in mind for next time. We’re all lucky the BOND roll was good.

⏻ i renamed gnarl’s Instrument i think 3 separate times between starting character creation and it appearing in the session. it’s just really difficult picking one! but i don’t think she has more than one for it, so suffer i shall.

” i don’t actually think it’s a theatre. we probably aren’t going to come back in this oneshot, but i feel like there’s room for it to be something completely different that Echo just entirely misunderstands based on the first room. what if it’s a conference room of an old bunker, or something? what if it’s something someone made to resemble a theatre after digging it out, like a Shrine to a deity that isn’t here right now, or any more? who even says all Ruins need to be from the original world, after all? like what if it’s a twice-ruin, someone tried fixing it up and it didn’t work out. …thrice-ruin, now that we broke it again? that’s just the roof though…

✧ As far as the campaign as a whole goes, this page is definitely where “proof of concept” ends and we have to actually make some solid plans for the rest (not that we don’t have any, but this needed to happen first). I think we’ll have some good fun with this. Length is probably, like… What, 7-10 pages? This is already nearly 6,000 words as we’re wrapping it up, and some of them are going to be even longer, but 7-10 little episodes of the journey are probably well enough for it.

✧ Next one…whenever? Could be a few weeks, could be a couple months. We want to have a sketch for the things, and it does take a while to sit down and get through these. First one of those should be up on socials shortly after we push this update, and then it’ll end up somewhere on the imageboard later.

⏻ society if i could have as many bodies as i’m meant to.

” society if i could have as many motifs as i want to.

✧ Society if we had a decent laptop to bring to the office.

⏻ good talk.
